• How do you know which laws apply to you? Publicly accessible legislation is the cornerstone of the rule of law, fostering transparency and accountability within any governance system. I led a project to assess and improve access to legislation in the Republic of Palau.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency

• When people are forced to flee their homes, access to timely and accurate data is more important than ever to ensure those who need life-saving assistance access as quickly as possible. Across 5 continents, in-person and remotely, I worked to enable data-driven decision-making by designing and implementing information management systems, data collection tools, dashboards, infographics, interactive and static maps and many more.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency

• I prepared research studies and reports on human rights, refugee and migrant issues, and climate change. Additionally, I led the design of UNHCR’s largest Community of Practice, uniting over 2,500 colleagues globally to exchange knowledge and share best practices (which was also used as a best practice example by Microsoft)

Refugee Support Centre

• In my home country, at the height of the Syrian Refugee Crisis, I coordinated a project to improve working conditions of refugee & migrant workers in Turkey. Working across the country, I managed a small team to audit working conditions, provide legal advice, collect and analyse data to inform policy and advocate for better living standards for all.

Data Analysis & Visualisation

From designing and automating multi-source data pipelines to producing real-time dashboards, I streamline complex workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness in decision-making. Some of my technical skills include Kobo Forms, ArcGIS, Power Bi, Excel, Python, R, DAX.
